Day-1:

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) – Tax Research Department & Bhubaneswar Chapter organized 2-Day National Seminar on Taxation on 21st -22ndDecember, 2019 at KIMS Auditorium, KIIT Campus, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The Title of the National Seminar was “Conducive Tax Laws- Opportunities & Challenges”

The conference was inaugurated by Shri. On the Occasion Conference Souvenir and publications on Exemption under Income Tax Act, 1961, Input Tax Credit – an Indepth Discussion, are released by the eminent guests.

Technical Session-I was organized on “E-Invoicing and Reconciliation of Credits “Chaired by Shri Ananda Satpathy, OFS (Addl. Commissioner), CT & GST, Odisha, in the presence of CMA (Dr.) V.Murali, Council Member and chairman, Corporate Law Committee, ICAI, CMA Anil Sharma, Practicing CMA and GST Expert, Adv. Day-2:

TECHNICAL SESSION was organized on Direct Tax Reform in India,: Global practices in Direct Taxes –  Emerging in India, Challenges and Opportunities for CMA’s in new era of Direct Tax in India, ITC critical issues. This session was graced by CMA Debasis Mitra, Council Member and Chairman, Board of Advanced Studies ICAI, CMA Mrityunjay Acharjee, Senior VP of Balmer Lawrie and Co. Gobind Krishna Dixit, IRS Commissioner Customs and CGST. Formal vote of thanks for this session was offered by CMA Tapas Ranjan Swain member, Bhubaneswar Chapter. 

Post Lunch Technical Session was organized on “Annual Return and Audit under GST Law”. This session was chaired by CMA Santanu Kumar Rout, Chairman Coaching Committee, ICAI, Bhubaneswar Chapter, CMA Amit Sarkar, Senior Director Indirect Taxation Deloittee Haskins and Sells LLP, Mumbai. More than 600 Professional Accountants participated from various parts of the country and the seminar ended with a valedictory session and lucky draw.
