Panel Discussion on “Union Budget 2020-21” held on 12th February, 2020 (Wednesday) at 6.30 P.M at Institute of Engineers, Odisha State Center, Bhubaneswar

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) – Bhubaneswar Chapter & Tax Resaerch Department  have  successfully organized a panel discussion on “Union Budget – 2020-21 ” on 12th February, 2020 (Wed)  at the  Conference hall Institute of Engineers, Sachivalaya Marg, Unit-4, Bhubaneswar. More than 250 numbers of Cost Accountants and Stakeholders actively participated and interacted.

Shri Pranab Kumar DasIRS, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Odisha and  Shri Naresh Penumaka, IRS, Chief Commissioner, GST, Central Excise & Custom, Bhubaneswar Zone  were inaugurated and graced the Panel Discussion as “Special Guests”. They interacted and delivered various key issues on “Union Budget 2020-21”

Amongst other dignitaries, Prof. (Dr.) S.N.Misra, Dean, KIIT School of Management & Professor of Economics, Constitution and Service Law, Bhubaneswar, CMA Niranjan Swain, Advocate & Tax Consultant, Bhubaneswar discussed in details on Union Budget 2020-21. They highlighted various budget provisions in respect to Direct and Indirect Tax in detail with lot of examples and its impact on Common People and Society at large. In a nut shell deliberation were made on major changes on Union Budget-2020-21 with respect to direct and indirect taxes and its impact on individual, industry and society at large. The session was quite interactive and lively.

CMA Saktidhar Singh, Chairman , ICAI-Bhubaneswar  Chapter delivered welcome address, CMA Niranjan Mishra, Council Member and Chairman, Indirect Taxation Committee, ICAI delivered key note address  and CMA Himoj Mishra , Secretary of the Chapter  extended formal vote of thanks.  CMA Mukesh Chaubey, Vice Chairman and Chairman, PD Committee of the Chapter facilitated the Program.

With collective effort the Program was a grand success and ended in most discipline manner
